The latest technology in utility detection is GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar). Using a process similar to ultrasound we can build a 3D image of any underground services and obstacles, this includes plastic pipes, Asbestos pipes, Rebar and voids, being able to determine exact locations of services and possible obstructions when trenching allows us to avoid costly unnecessary works and plan the route with greater confidence.
Along with the traditional methods of service detection such as Cat and Genny and GPS mapping we often help other contractors and local Authorities locate lost services. We can also provide 3D drawings of underground services using full grid scanning and combining the output with reference to accurate GPS coordinates.
